Noel Gallagher of Oasis once said “we only play what we hear in our record collection” (I’m trying to find the exact quote). Just like many in our times, I’m fond of many electronic styles of music, such as EDM & hip hop. However, I am equally fond of rock music, a sound of the past. Naturally, my playing style reflects the music I admire. By incorporating these elements together, I’ve composed how I envision fusing the old and the new. That’s the sound of Lakaff, through a foundation on the bass; Bassics.

For many years, I’ve had the dilemma of pursuing my passion for music or the conventional path in life as society dictates. Throughout those years, there were many moments where I felt perhaps music is a skill I can harness, yet I suppressed those thoughts with doubts.
